Welcome to the Departed Comrades
The Norfolk Island RSL Memorial Club is honoured to present the “Wall of the Fallen,” a tribute to the servicemen and women of Norfolk Island who bravely served their country from World War I to the present day. Each name on this wall represents a story of courage, sacrifice, and dedication to duty.
Our Memorial Wall features a photograph of every serviceman and woman from Norfolk Island who has served and has since passed away, creating a moving and memorable sight that connects us to our past and honours the legacy of those who came before us. Here, you will find a comprehensive list of these individuals, accompanied by a thumbnail image of each, inviting you to click on their names to learn more about their unique journeys, contributions, and lives.
Norfolk Island played a significant role during World War II, becoming a strategic outpost due to its location between Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia. From hosting New Zealand’s “N Force” to becoming a staging point for military operations, the island’s history is tightly interwoven with the stories of the servicemen honoured on this wall.
