Through our sub-Branch’s close association with Figtree Sports Club and Wollongong Golf Club and other sporting associations in the region, the City of Wollongong RSL sub-Branch has developed a Sport and Recreation Program in 2023. The Program will be made available to all RSL NSW Members and other Veterans in the Illawarra Region. The program will be co-ordinated by Committee Members of the City of Wollongong RSL sub-Branch and will involve free and subsidised Sport and Recreation activities throughout the year.
Initially the area for eligible veterans to participate in the program will entail the boundaries of the eight RSL NSW sub-Branches in the Illawarra Region, that being, Coledale, Austinmer-Thirroul, Woonona-Bulli, Corrimal, City of Wollongong, Warilla, Dapto-Port Kembla, and Albion Park.
The Sport and Recreation Program is proudly supported by the following organisations who have shown through their involvement that are supporters of veterans in the Illawarra region. Please support these organisations when you can. Click on the icon to visit the organisations web/social media page.
To be eligible to participate in the Program Activities a veteran must identify themselves simply by producing an ID document and an RSL NSW Membership Card from one of the eight Illawarra sub-Branches listed above.
