Involvement with other Islanders
– H W G Adams (20 Battalion) served with J P W Adams from 6.7.1918 when he joined 2nd Machine Gun until 8.8.1918 when H W G Adams was wounded and hospitalised
– I L Quintal was serving in 2nd Machine Gun Battalion when Adams joined unit and they served together until Adams transferred to Graves Registration Detachment
– E L M Edwards was transferred to 2nd Machine Gun Battalion twelve days after Adams but was wounded twice and thus out of action from 12.8 to 25.9.1918 and then from 3.10.1918 to discharge.
– A R Snell (19th Battalion) was in hospital when Adams joined 2nd Machine Gun Battalion on 1.7.1918 and he did not rejoin unit.
– H I Snell (17th Battalion) was hospitalised when Adams joined Division on 1.7.1918. Snell rejoined the 17th Battalion on 29.10.1918 and he served with Adams until 18.3.1919 when Snell again became ill and was sent to hospital.
